Port Byron NY
In the 1800's Port Byron was an important grain market as it was located first on the Erie Canal and then later on the N.Y.C.R.R. railroad line. During this exciting time, Brigham Young, Henry Wells (Wells and Fargo), Isaac Singer (Singer sewing machines), Byron Pickett (sculptor), and Clara Barrus (assistant and biographer of the naturalist John Burroughs) all lived in Port Byron at one time during their lives. Visit restaurants, hotels, shops, wineries, museums and other local businesses in Port Byron NY. It's a great place to add to your Finger Lakes Experience.
