The Abbott Loop is reached via the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) at Michigan Hollow Road just north of the junction with Hill Road. This FLT crossing is 2.4 miles south of the village of Danby. The Abbott Loop recrosses Michigan Hollow Road at the bridge over Michigan Creek 1.7 miles south of the FLT crossing. Parking is available along the wide shoulder of Michigan Hollow Road at both crossings. Other access points are on seasonal dirt roads (Balh Hill Road or Hill Road) which may be rutted and slippery in wet weather.
