The tour starts at the parking area of Hill Cumorah, on Route 21, four miles south of the village of Palmyra. (Note: during the Mormon Pageant, parking here is by permit only; then the tour can be started in Palmyra.)
This ride does not begin near food stores, so you may want touring supplies along with you. Both Palmyra and Newark along your route later on have groceries and restaurants.
