Watkins Glen - Hector Wineries

21 miles; easy to moderate cycling
Gradual ascents and descents, undulating hills, some level land
County map: Schuyler

The trail starts at the main entrance of Watkins Glen State Park.
Much of the appeal of this route lies in the ease with which it carries you to scenic heights overlooking Seneca Lake and gently tilts you back down to water level again. A walk through the labyrinthe gorge at Watkins Glen State Park, with its cascades, grottoes, and dizzying heights, provides a splendid complement to your ride. You might cap your walk with a dip in the park's Olympic-size pool - a perfect ending to a perfect day.
